56^TH MALAYSIA OPEN SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP

The 56^th. Malaysia Open Swimming Championship 16-19 May 2013, saw some truly remarkable performance from our Malaysian swimmers. The most noteworthy performance is from national swimmer Kevin Yeap of Perak who broke the national record for 400m Freestyle and set a new time of 3:53.23. He went on to win the 1500m Freestyle.

COMPETITIVE SWIMMING AND YOUR DEVELOPMENT

In Malaysia today, an estimated 2,000 kids are into competitive swimming. Major competitions such as the National Inter Club Swimming Championships typically attract about 1,200 swimmers competing in all age groups. 

ANOTHER SENSATIONAL SHOW!

It was a sensational repeat of our Sun Paradise Fashion Show, this time @ Paradigm Mall last Saturday, 27 April, 2013. Andrew Models’ bevy of Caucasian models kicked off the extravaganza at 8.00 p.m. and walked down the runway in Arena’s Infinity competition suits. It was a refreshing break for shoppers who were treated to a show of watersports fashion in colour extraordinaire.

SALTWATER AND FRESH WATER SWIMMING

Most of us would expect swimming in saltwater to be swimming in the sea or lagoons; while fresh water logically means lakes, rivers and conventional swimming pools. Many also believe that when you’re by the sea you tan faster because saltwater accelerates tanning. As a matter of fact, tanning is caused by UV rays emitted by the sun. Water on the other hand, presents as highly-reflective surface. Combined, these accelerate tanning.
